Beautiful Countryside in Peñarrubia, Abra

Recently we made a short trip to the countryside around Peñarrubia, a municipality in the province of Abra. It was end of August, during the rainy season. There was an abundance of water flowing into the many rice fields and fish ponds. Peñarrubia has an important spring that supplies plenty of water and is also the source of water for the Bangued Water District. We discovered spots that invite to take beautiful pictures of rice paddies, rivers, and wide views of the lush green landscape with a winding river flowing through dense foliage. In the distance, the mountains of Abra under a partly cloudy sky created a serene view.

One way it took us about half an hour from Strutz Art Garden Resort by car, a worthwhile excursion from our hotel.
