Our gandson really wanted to go fishing. We made him happy by organizing a fishing trip to Peñarrubia which is close to Bangued. He enjoyed fishing tilapia out of the fish pond. There were hundreds if not thousands of tilapia, not a challenge for a fishing enthusiast, but great fun for our 6 year old grandson.
With help he fished more than a dozen tilapia out of the pond which then were cooked by our gifted cooks in the hotel into a wonderful lunch.
This is a fun way how to purchase fresh tilapia.
Thanks to our grandson, so to speak, we discovered the beautiful rice terraces comprising the countryside around Peñarrubia. Definetly worthwhile to see.
