We take great care about our immediate surroundings and the way we run the hotel. We do not use pesticides and insecticides in the garden. We do not use one way plastics in the bathroom amenities: no more little one-way plastic miniature shampoo, or body wash bottles. We provide toothbrushes made from straw in a paper sachet.

A large part of our electricity needs is generated on our roofs from solar panels. We buy most of our food locally on the farmers market. We recycle plastic and metal garbage. We keep our premises meticulously clean. We try to compost. We keep on searching constantly on how to improve our practices especially in considering environmental aspects. Most recently we have succeeded to substantially reduce our plastic consumption in cooperation with our guests: instead of given each guest bottled water, we provide excellent filtered water in glass water pitchers. Guests are free to refill the pitchers in our water dispenser. 

We cannot walk the path toward sustainability without our guests. Therefore we ask our guests to support our efforts by conserving water, switching off the air conditioner when leaving the room for a longer time and by setting the room temperature not below 22°C. We also give our guests the option to reuse their towels by hanging them on the towel rack after usage.
